COLLAR:
measure the scope of your dogs neck. A collar should fit like a belt, so don’t leave too much space between the measuring tape and your dogs neck. 2 fingers should easily fit inbetween.
PULLSTOP COLLAR:
measure the scope of your dogs neck. This measurement will be the tightest position of your custom made pullstop collar, so don’t leave too much space between the measuring tape and your dogs neck. Then pull the measuring tape above your dogs ears off of his neck. This measurement will be the loosest position of the pullstop collar. It has to be loose enough to be pulled over the head of your dog without any trouble.
HARNESS:
measure the measurements with the numbers 1-4 or 1-6, depending on if you wish to have a security belt for your dog or not.
To 1: The Y at the front chest of your dog should sit on the sternum so that your dogs shoulders have free range of movements. Measure where a harness would sit, which is further back than where a collar sits.
To 2: the belly strap should sit as a collar, so 2 fingers should fit between the harness and your dogs belly.
To 3: Lighn up the length of this back piece with the length of the first chest piece (4), so that your dogs legs can move freely.
To 4: The chest strap should be long enough to fit with a large enough gap between the belly strap (2) and the front legs to allow for unimpeded freedom of movement. It should be short enough so that the belly strap (2) is sitting before the last rip, when pulled.
To 5: The second back strap should be the right length, so that the second belly strap (6) is sitting behind the last rip, ideally at the thinnest part of your dogs belly, to provide full security.
To 6: This second belly strap should be perfectly tight, so that your dog can not pull it over the rips and head in case of fear or panic.
